El Segundo, CA – In a movie-like Sequel to its last IAAPA blockbuster reveal, the superstar collaboration of media management, Apple + Panasonic + Videro™, is debuting a brand new wireless product that will revolutionize content delivery for theme parks, museums, and attractions.
The magic innovation is called Panasonic LinkRay powered by Videro and it creates a three-way connection between guest mobile devices, LED light sources, and stationery objects. Once a guest locks their mobile device in on the LED source near any pre-programmed object, information and images related to the object appear, creating a deeper bond with the guest not available until now. The uses for this revolutionary new technology are as diverse as operators’ imaginations. Thus far, the team that devised this “solution in a box” have developed deep dive content scenarios for museum displays, wayfinding applications for theme parks, and menu reveals for food and beverage venues anywhere. There are several more exciting concepts under development with the Panasonic LinkRay that should be “ready for their close-up” by IAAPA this November.
Once this technology debuts at IAAPA, Panasonic will commence a multi-city Panasonic Solutions Center Tour providing a more localized opportunity for attraction operators to experience the magic first hand. A broader range of operators will learn how easy it is to apply comprehensive digital experiences and overlays to their facilities with minimal hassle and expense.
According to Roberta Perry, Vice President of Edwards Technologies (ETI) and Past President of the Themed Entertainment Association, “After our launch at IAAPA, we are certain that this tour will reach a broader operator base and clearly illustrate the cost savings customers will realize by effectively using this technological “solution in a box”.
Guests at the IAAPA launch will also be amazed by the Videro “Swoosh”, which allows an image to be moved between two or more devices connected to the Videro system with just the flick of a finger. Ron Martin, Vice President & Director of Panasonic Hollywood Lab remarked, “With Videro’s WorldSync technology, the screens can be combined into a single kinetic sign, as was done for the Times Square intro of Microsoft Windows 8. As we take our show on the road, we will feature a variety of media displays, the best monitors by Panasonic, of course. Add in the Panasonic LinkRay powered by Videro, which Panasonic created to facilitate greater creative vision and simplified integration, and we will have provided an eye-opening solution that is only available through this proprietary technology.”
The “Masters of the Digital Universe, The Sequel” presentation will be shared during IAAPA on an appointment basis. Interested parties are encouraged to contact Roberta Perry at Roberta.Perry@etiemail.com to secure a pre-set time. The magic will be accessible on Tuesday and Wednesday from 8am until 4pm and Thursday from 8:30am to 3:30pm in the Clear Lake Room at the Orlando Hilton.
